Change Makers

Last month, we talked about community, traditions, and the many people who help shape the place we call home. Among them are individuals who often go unrecognized, unsung heroes who quietly create meaningful change.

These are the people working tirelessly behind the scenes to improve the quality of life in our community. They are driven by passion: they see a need and fill it, recognize what’s wrong and work to make it right. In both bold and humble ways, they embody the true spirit of service and leadership.

Our business association is filled with incredibly talented and generous individuals, and we are not all business. Like those we serve, our members balance responsibilities to family and friends, care for others (including pets!), and pursue their own financial goals and dreams. We are community members first and business owners second.

So next time you see one of us out in the wild, say hello. Be curious. Start a conversation. Let us know if what we’re doing is making a difference, it matters more than you might think.

At the same time, we believe Change Makers can be anyone: someone leading from the front, stepping up to meet a need or right a wrong, or someone quietly making an impact behind the scenes. We want to recognize all community members, not just the same familiar faces.
