Connections

September 17, 20252 min read

Connections are the keystone of good business. Not that “I know a guy kind” of connections. The “I can tell you about this person I know, how good they are at what they do, how passionate and fair they are, I have personally used them or know someone who has” kind of connection. That is where it’s at.

So many people in business either shy away from networking, or over network to the point that they are simply handing out business cards without any follow up or truly getting to know, like and trust the people right in front of them.  All of us are connecting the dots in some way.  Truly connecting though is how you show up, how you follow up and how you connect.  And that is truly the sweet sauce in business.

This month we will hear from Rick Gabrielly, a seasoned and dedicated connector who runs a wonderful and much needed business helping people with the tasks around their home that don’t come naturally for many.  With a keen eye for detail and a soft spot for those of us who are all thumbs with a hammer, Rick and his wife Carol are a dynamic Duo and an inspiration to seeing a problem and putting some innovation to solving it.  They are the “Know, Like and Trust” you want in any connection and they go above and beyond not just to those they serve but to the connections they make.

This month Rick will share more details on “Connections” during the Lunch & Learn Live on September 18th.  Not to worry, if you missed the live listen to it on replay on our Facebook Page.

Our goal at WFBPA is all about connections.  Check out our events page and join us as we learn more about one another and develop deeper connections.

Our challenge is for you to go out and connect.

  • Join local chambers of commerce or professional associations.

  • Engage on LinkedIn and other professional platforms.

  • Schedule one-on-one coffee chats or virtual introductions.

  • Follow up consistently after initial meetings.

  • Share value (resources, insights, introductions) before asking for something.

  • Participate in community events and business associations.
